Rotherwas industrial estate

The Rotherwas Industrial Estate, is one of the first completed projects funded through the Rural Regeneration Zone.

The units, which have their own car parking spaces, vary in size from 6,000 sq ft to 2,213 sq ft and have been built complete with toilets, gas, electricity and water supply.

Mark Pearce, Director for Herefordshire at Advantage West Midlands, said: "Projects like this really are a classic example of how the public sector can work in partnership to help and support the private sector.

"If businesses are to thrive in Herefordshire, high-quality premises are an absolute must and it is excellent to see developments like this taking shape."

"This will leave a lasting legacy on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate and make a real difference to the businesses and people of Herefordshire."

Alison McLean, Rural Regeneration Zone Director said: "The Rotherwas Industrial Estate is an important hub for economic activity in Herefordshire. This investment in high quality units and improvements to the infrastructure of the estate is part of a wider push by all involved to attract new and growing businesses into the area.

"I am delighted that the Rural Regeneration Zone programme has been able to help turn the plans for the units into a reality and look forward to seeing the businesses that occupy them thrive in their new surroundings"

Cllr George Hyde said: "Herefordshire Council is a keen supporter of local businesses and we've been pleased to have played our part in providing these units which will be used by local companies.

"Units of this size are always in demand and we hope they will become the catalyst to help local businesses thrive and survive."

"We also hope that they will allow new local firms to flourish which will in term mean more jobs and more money coming into the County."

"The fact that we now have these superb units is a credit to the close partnership working between the Government Office for the West Midlands, Advantage West Midlands and this Council - I'd like to formally thank our partners for the support they've given us throughout this project."
